Hello, I'm Jennie Ruffin. You may know me better as Elena Fawkner, a pseudonym I adopted for professional reasons when I started AHBBO. (At the time I was working in the law department of a franchising company, a role that had the potential to make me enemies since I was frequently involved with people whose franchise agreements were being terminated for breach of contract. I wanted to protect my online business from that, and so "Elena Fawkner" was born. Over time, people have come to know me as Elena and so the name, at least in connection with AHBBO, has stuck.)

In addition to running AHBBO, I am also an attorney (admitted in the State of New York) working for a law firm in downtown Los Angeles. I am also legal counsel for i-Cop (the International Council of Online Professionals). Many people who are familiar with "Elena", AHBBO or i-Cop ask me for legal assistance on a wide range of matters relating to their online and home-based businesses. Since I am so familiar with the types of issues that arise on a day to day basis when running an online or home-based business (since I do both), I have decided to make my services available to AHBBO visitors at a discounted rate.
