AHBBO Ezine Advertising
UPDATE: NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING ANY NEW ADVERTISEMENTS
Ezine (electronic magazine or newsletter) advertising is the most cost-effective
and targeted form of advertising online. This is because the ezine's editor
has already done the hard work of bringing together a large group of readers highly motivated
by the subject-matter of the ezine itself. Therefore, assuming you place your ad in an ezine with
a subject matter that fits with what it is you are marketing, you can be confident of reaching
a select group of highly targeted prospects for your product or service.
AHBBO offers four different advertising packages:
(1) top sponsor ad
placements,
(2) single ad
placements,
(3) ad paks, and
(4) exclusive mailings (plain text or HTML accepted).
Current ad rates:
Top Sponsor Ad
US$90.00 for 8 lines, 65 characters per line.
Single Ad Placements
US$50.00 for 6 lines, 65 characters per line.
Ad Paks - 4 ads for the price of 3*
US$150.00 - each ad 6 lines, 65 characters per line.
(*Note: Ad Pak ads don't have to be the same ... you can rotate
a series of ads if you prefer.)
Exclusive Mailings
Your ad (up to one full page) emailed to our subscriber database as an exclusive mailing for
US$150.00. Your exclusive mailing can be in either plain text format or HTML.
(Exclusive mailings are restricted to no more than one per week and are sent at the same time as
the AHBBO Ezine.)
(Ask me about discounts for package deals or bulk advertising orders!)
The first issue of AHBBO was published late July 1999 and its subscriber base has steadily
grown to its current (February 1, 2003) level of around 15,300 regular readers. Most importantly, the AHBBO subscriber list is 100% opt-in (i.e., each and every subscriber has taken the deliberate step of adding their email address to the AHBBO list for the specific purpose of receiving the ezine).
In early 2000 AHBBO instituted a zero tolerance policy with respect to returned mail.
This means that if any issue of AHBBO is returned undeliverable for any reason (including full mailboxes),
that subscriber's address is deleted from the subscriber database. This is to ensure that subscriber
numbers more accurately reflect the number of eyes that will see your ad and, because ad rates are set
on a $CPM basis, to maximize the value of your advertising dollar.
You can check out the current issue of AHBBO by visiting the AHBBO Ezine - Current Issue page.
Each issue of AHBBO contains only four (4) Classified ads plus one (1) Top Sponsor ad. (And only one exclusive mailing is sent per week.) At AHBBO we recognize that your ad
is more likely to be read if it is placed within the body of the ezine rather than at the end and if
you are not competing with numerous ads within your 'slot'. For this reason, to give you the most
'bang for your buck', AHBBO uses a short 'ad break' approach, similar to
television ad breaks ... scheduled programming, ad break, more programming, ad break.
So, if you decide to take the plunge, we'd love to run your ad. Here's how to go about it.
First, if you'd like an idea how long it will be before your ad will run, or to nominate a particular slot, visit the Ad Schedule page. If you want to nominate a particular available advertising slot (if not, you'll be allocated the next available), include a note to this effect with your ad copy.
If you have any questions please send them to me at

Thank you for considering AHBBO for your advertising needs.
